Londyn

Time is flying by so fast little Londyn is doing so many things. She has learned baby sign and is quickly becoming fluent. She can now sign the words:dog, fish, baby, more, milk, hat, sleep, candy, cookie, apple, pig, water, please, and lotion. Kind of an odd assortment of words, but it works for her, and it is what she wants to talk about. Her clearest word is still "bella" the dog. All animals have become "bella" all people are "mama". Which kind of annoys dad.

She is also a bog eater even though she is still pretty tiny. She can out eat the best of us. SHe also has some serious attitude. She refuses to do the sign for "all done" when she has finished eating. Instead she puts on her naughty face (which she does have)and flings her food to the floor.

But at the end of the day she is till a little angel. I love to watch them sleep.I am so blessed.

Smeeps

So if you have never liked the easter peeps you may like them this way. THey are called S'meeps. My friend gave me some for my birthday and we had a great time making and eating them. Also it is just really funny to use the word smeeps in my opinion

Ingredients
4 Peeps (1 package)
4 graham crackers, separated into 8 halves
Four 1-ounce squares semisweet or dark chocolate (depending on preference)
Procedure
1. Preheat the oven or toaster oven to 350°F.
2. Place a 1-ounce square of chocolate on 4 of the graham cracker halves. Top each chocolate with a Peep. Say your goodbyes.
3. Put your Peep sacrifice laden graham crackers on an aluminum foil covered tray and pop them in the oven for 2 to 3 minutes. Watch them carefully as toasting Peeps can turn into burn victims beyond repair in the blink of an eye. Vigilance!
4. Once the Peeps are toasted to your liking, take them out of the oven and squish them with a graham cracker half. Feast.

Easter Dresses

This year I think I had too much fun with the matching outfits. WE had a wonderful Easter spent with Family and filled with way too much candy.

Busy week

Well this past week we accomplished a lot. It was strange we reached all of these milestones in the same week, but we did!
First off Londyn is done nursing. I would like to let everyone know that for the first time in three years I am not pregnant or nursing. It feels amazing to have my body back!

Then Austin potty trained himself. I say Austin did because I have been trying for two months to no avail. He would not even tell me. Then one night he just decided he didn't want to pee in his diaper. He hasn't had an accident yet. He even wakes up at nights and will go potty. It is amazing at how well he has done.

Then we moved Austin to a toddler bed. This move could have happened a while ago. But he was not going to bed well so I thought a toddler bed would just drive us crazy. It is also a little bitter sweet. It means he really isn't my baby anymore, but a little boy. So all in all it was probably the most productive week we have had in a long time!

Quiet Book

Well I said I was obsessive on projects before, but this one consumed my life for a week.

My sister in law and sister were making one, and I had to have one. The pages are made of pellon, it took about 3 yards. Then the rest is cut in felt. THe hard felt works best but the soft felt was good for the weaving page. I sewed the whole thing on with the clear thread. That way you don't have to change thread with each new color. Felt is great because the edges don't fray so you don't have to fold edges. I made two pages per sheet then folded them in half and binded it together. The other fun trick was using light fabric transfers. You find them at Walmart in the office supplies. Then you just print it from your computer, and iron it on. For words use word art in microsoft office. The draw tool at the bottom left corner has a horizontal flip. That will help you flip your letters so they will iron on correctly. TI was a lot of work but so fun, and my kids love it. I almost don't want to let them touch it, but it will be good for church or the car.

Here is a link for another cute one

Spring or Winter???

For conference weekend we went to the cabin in Bear Lake.

Usually we take up 4-wheelers, but as you can see those would not be very useful. It snowed another 4 inches while we were there. But it was a fabulous weekend. No where to go nothing to do but listen to conference, and spend time with family.
