The Gun

So usually you get family pictures on this blog, but Russell also has obsesive hobbies..I guess that is why he puts up with mine. He is our obsessive fisherman. He took up the sport of spearfishing a few years ago. As shown below. It is pretty much what it sounds like you shoot fish underwater.
This year he has decided to build his own wooden spear fishing gun. It is wood that he carved and is very impressive.

This one turned out so good he is making another one that is longer. He also got a new full body wet suit so he can begin as soon as the ice melts.??? I like my hobbies better. :)

Happy First Birthday

Today my baby turns one. It really feels like she was just born. Time truly flies quickly. She is crawling quickly and will walk within the next couple of weeks. She is such a happy little girl. Some of her favorite things to do are eat paper and snuggle her daddy. We are so lucky to have her in our home

200$ Fish

So this year Russ went with my cousin Cam to his first ice fishing tournament. And he won fourth place. Another 1/4 of an inch and he would have won 800$ what the luck. Anyway he said it was the most stressful fishing ever and is not sure he will do it again. However he did use his winnings to buy parts to build his new spear gun...pictures of that to come.

Obsessions

When I was working, my supervisor gave me this t-shirt. I laughed and thought nothing more of it. I am not obsessive...or so I thought. At the time I worked full time, and I just liked to be thorough at my job.

When I quit to become a stay home mom I soon discovered that this work trait, was not really a work trait at all but my personality. It is kind of strange to realize a new personality trait about yourself. I am truly obsessive. Now that I do not have work I am an obsessive hobby person. This is my latest obsession. Crochet. I like it, wanted to learn it. Now my house is covered in crocheted items I am not even sure I like.
Before that it was scrap books I made these digital scarp books one month. Yes I did almost all of them in a month. One for each year of my childrens life, plus vacations, and a couple of random ones.

Before that it was car seat covers. I really like them and so I made a lot and sold them for a while. I still have quite a few if anyone needs one. But I have moved on.
I have also done this with coupons, books, embroidery, and quilting. the most frightening is that most of this has been done in the last two years. Now that I know this about myself I would like to think I can control it, but maybe not.

RSV for 2

I thought last year at this time that the worst thing in the world was a baby with RSV. This year I was proven wrong. The worst thing in the world is RSV with 2 babies.

Last week they both got it and I did not sleep more than 2 hours at a time for 6 nights in a row!! Each night they had to have around 3 treatments each. One before bed at 8:00. One at 2 am and another around 5am. Each treatment takes 20 minutes if they go right back to sleep. Which they don't so you can do the math. This week thought they are recovered, and I am slowly recovering as well.

January Boredom

Well this month is the most boring of the year to me, and it must also be for my children. They have discovered new ways to entertain themselves. I left Austin and londyn in a room together for less that two minutes. When I came back Austin had found the permanent marker and colored his head, and hers. Russ looked up on line how to remove permanent marker from babies. It said don't try. So it took a little while to wear out of the hair, but they are both clean again.

Happy New Year

Every year we like to now carry on the tradition of Tin Foil hats, passed down from the Waters! Russell wins our creative award. Mine just turn out to be big with a crown tapped on them. Savanna's is actually a pony....don't see it? Well look harder.
