So I realized the other day I do use story problems in every day life. This story problem came to mind as I was loading up my kids in the car, getting them out again, and then back up stairs. I realized I live this story problem.
The farmer wants to get his goat, wolf and cabbage to the other side of the river. His boat isn't very big and it can only carry him and either his goat, his wolf or his cabbage. Now.....if he leaves the goat alone with the cabbage, the goat will gobble up the cabbage. If he leaves the wolf alone with the goat, the wolf will gobble up the goat. When the farmer is present, the goat and cabbage are safe from being gobbled up by their predators.
How does the farmer manage to get everything safely to the other side of the river?
Answer
The farmer must first take the goat across the river. He then returns and picks up the wolf. He leaves the wolf off and takes the goat back across the river with him. Then he leaves the goat at the starting point and takes the cabbage over to where the wolf is. He returns and picks up the goat, and then lands where the wolf and the cabbage are.

FHE or FFF
Now I am sure you know that FHE is for Family home evening, but at this stage in life I sometimes think of it as FFF or Forced Family Fun. This week was Forced family fun. For the activity Russ decided we should all go fishing.

This sound fun until you are there. What you may not notice is Austin stuck in the rocks.

Savanna chasing Austin with the fish. Then crying because the fish are dead.

Both babies crying while I try to keep them out of the wind.

Austin getting fish eye gunk all over his hands.

And how could we end without ice cream being dumped all over the car. FFF or FHE?

Oh yeah and I am 30!
For my 30th birthday I went to McDonald's with my friends. They are so thoughtful where else could we go with that many kids. Mandy made me a cake that said happy 30th birthday but the frosting melted into an 80. Which was really funny. So whether you are 5,30, or 80 McDonald's is the place

Then that night all of my family came over it was a great day. Even if I feel old.

Really???
Today I started getting very frustrated as I tried to get ready for the day, unload the groceries, and clean the house. I was not constantly watching Austin. So he decided to do whatever he wanted. Obviously!

I had just gotten Londyn out of the toddler tub, and yes there was water in it!

Then while I fed Londyn he pulled the chair to the table and got in her bed. This is why our kitchen chairs are in the living room.

Naughty little monkey!

I guess if you don't laugh and blog about it you cry so here is my morning.Yes this was all before noon!

No training wheels
Savanna learned how to ride her bike with no training wheels. We practiced on a grass hill, just having her keep her balance, no petals. She did that 2-3 times till she could feel what it was suppose to feel like. Then she tried it with petals and rode away. It took a half hour! Amazing..thanks Christi for the training know how.
